Auburn on the rise

Life is good right now on the plains. Auburn is ranked again after defeating Vanderbilt 35-7 last Saturday. Just three weeks ago, after a stunning loss to Mississippi State at home, the No. 22 Tigers were left for dead.

But according to Kevin Scarbinsky of The Birmingham News, the team’s trajectory changed this season when a young offensive line began to develop chemistry. One of the key players involved in that transformation is freshman Lee Ziemba, the right tackle who played high school football just up the road in Rogers.

The revitalized Tigers, who are now a possible contender for the SEC championship, will march into Razorback Stadium on Saturday for a 6:45 p.m. meeting with Arkansas. The game will be televised on ESPN.
