Trying to make some sense of the SEC East
All is quiet on the western front in the Southeastern Conference. LSU, as expected, is on top of the standings in the SEC West. Ole Miss is at the bottom. The teams in between? They’re probably where they should be.

But over in the eastern division — well, things are pretty strange. Kentucky is in sole possession of first place. South Carolina is in second. And frankly it’s hard to complete another sentence after reading what was just written. It’s too stunning to comprehend, after all. But thankfully The State’s Joseph Person makes some sense out of the absurd turn of events that has jumbled the standings in a division which has maintained the status quo for so long.
