McFadden’s stiff arm is stiff
Regardless of what happens to Arkansas this season, running back Darren McFadden should be in contention for the Heisman Trophy if for no other reason than his great stiff arm. The statue that is annually presented to the nation’s top college football star depicts an anonymous player using the same maneuver that McFadden commonly applies to avoid onrushing defenders.
On Saturday, McFadden nearly decapitated North Texas cornerback Antoine Bush, managing to peel off the guy’s helmet during the first half of the Razorbacks’ 66-7 victory over the Mean Green. The moment is captured below.
