Get out the Stanley measuring tape. You’ll need it to fully grasp the distance Arkansas’ average punt return covers. Right now, it’s 7.2 inches. That’s dead last in the NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision, according to a report by Chris Bahn of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
It’s hard to believe a team ranked third in the nation in rushing yardage is struggling so much with punt returns. Arkansas has the athletes to get it done. But the Razorbacks have experienced problems in this area since the days of Marvin Jackson.
