Update: Beck shot, upgraded to good condition
Two days before news about Corliss Willamson’s retirement circulated, one of his former Arkansas teammates was shot Sunday.
Former Razorbacks point guard Corey Beck became the victim of an armed robbery and was in critical condition after being taken to an area hospital, according to a report Wednesday in the Commercial-Appeal. Beck is now in good condition, the Northwest Arkansas Times’ Nate Allen has learned.
Beck, 36, played in 88 games in his brief NBA career after helping lead Arkansas to the 1994 NCAA championship.
