Tuesday Practice Notes

1. Darren McFadden sat out Tuesday’s practice. Arkansas coach Houston Nutt said the running back was sore.

2. Defensive end Antwain Robinson is suffering from an injured left quadricep, but the injury does not appear to be serious.

3. Marcus Harrison has been moved to defensive tackle, where he is listed as a backup on the depth chart. Harrison started the season at defensive end, but played at tackle last year. Adrian Davis will start at end.

“We feel like he’s going to give us more production there,” Nutt said. “We’re trying to get the best 11 out there. Right now, we feel that’s the best we can do.

4. Junior Elston Forte has replaced redshirt freshman Ryan Powers at weakside linebacker. Forte is a former strong safety.

“Elston is a little bit of an older guy,” Nutt said. “He’s been improving since he got to that position.”

5. Defensive tackle Ernest Mitchell is back in the mix for Arkansas’ game against North Texas on Saturday. Mitchell, who will start Saturday against North Texas,  was suspended for the Razorbacks’ 42-29 defeat to Kentucky on Saturday after he was kicked out of their loss to Alabama on Sept. 15. Mitchell grabbed a Crimson Tide offensive lineman’s helmet and hit him with it.
