The third man
Michael Smith is more or less an afterthought when it comes to Arkansas’ running game. When you’re behind guys like Darren McFadden and Felix Jones, it’s easy to be overlooked. Then throw in the fact he is 5-foot-7 and, well, it’s completely understandable. But Smith produced a 48-yard run and then followed it up with a two-yard touchdown plunge, as the Razorbacks jumped ahead 46-20 with 6:45 left in the fourth quarter.
Smith is a speed burner and on most Division I teams he would get more playing time. But for now he is the understudy to Jones and McFadden.
