Mighty Mites
Two of the smallest Hogs could team up to make some big plays this season. Reggie Fish and Michael Smith both stand 5-7 but add them together and the Hogs 11 feet, 2 inches of punt returner because the Razorbacks plan to deploy both of them for each punt return.
I can’t remember watching a team that regularly placed two men back on punts. Teams won’t be able to kick away from the Tiny Titans, and with two men back, they shouldn’t loose track of the ball. It also opens the door for a number of trick plays and allows one or the other act as a lead blocker.
It’s an interesting idea. We’ll have to see how productive it is for the Razorbacks.
