Counting on Casey

Casey Dick made steady but slow improvement in the Razorbacks’ new passing scheme, brought in by first-year offensive coordinator David Lee. After an early practice in which Dick threw two interceptions, the junior quarterback seemed to learn the lesson that discretion is the better form of valor.
With Darren McFadden and Felix Jones in the backfield, the Hogs have the chance to score on any play. Lee had rather Dick throw the ball away and try again on the next down, than try to force something to happen or take a sack.

One Response to “Counting on Casey”

  1. It is certainly going to be interesting to see if the experiment, or I should say circumstances, works out. With David Lee in place of Gus Malzahn and Casey Dick in place of Mitch Mustain, either the naysayers will get worse or Nutt will look like a genius.

One thing’s for sure. If McFadden avoids injury, the Offensive line, Felix Jones and Peyton Hillis step up to block, Nutt’s bacon is saved for another year.
