Bayou Bengals are bad news

Hole smokes, did LSU rough up Mississippi State last night. The Tigers’ defense was particularly dominant, picking off MSU six times.
DT Glenn Dorsey is a hoss and is going to cause problems for a lot of teams this year.

Here’s the most violent hit of Thursday night’s opener, a devastating block by LSU WR Brandon LaFell on true freshman DB Zach Smith. Welcome to the SEC, my friend.

“Help me, I’ve been hyp-mo-tized!” That hit was a microcosm of the whole night for the Bulldogs.

  1. I saw that hit and for whatever reason it seemed to make me really cringe in my seat.

Am I wrong, or did the guys nose look completely busted in the close-up they showed a few minutes later?

  2. He was lucky his neck wasn’t busted. I feel bad for the kid. Not really the way you want to start out your college football career.
