The Prairie Grove Tigers have devoured the softer part of their schedule, taking advantage of the league’s lesser halfs to clinch an 11th-straight playoff berth. A win Friday at conference champion Gravette will give the Tigers the big win they’ve been looking for all year.

Beating up on the 1-4A Conference’s also-rans have Prairie Grove poised for the playoffs again. Winning next week at first-place Gravette will mean more. The Tigers haven’t beaten a team with a winning record this year. A win over the Lions is the boost they need to propel them into the playoffs.

Since falling 52-20 to Gravette in Week 4, Tracy Sutton’s Greenland Pirates have been on a scoring spree. Greenland has won three games in a row, outscoring their opponents, 150-45.
The points may not come as easy in the Pirates’ game with Prairie Grove a 7 tonight. Danny Abshier’s Tigers are only allowing 11 points a […]

Relying on stingy defense, effective running and efficient passing, Prairie Grove’s won four of its last five games. Its recent good form has it poised for the playoffs, giving the Tigers a string of postseason appearances that dates back to 1997.

Prairie Grove can improve to 3-1 in the 1-4A conference with a win at Berryville (3-3, 1-2). The victory will give Prairie Grove a share of second place with the loser of the Gravette-Farmington game, a battle for first place, and Greenland if the Pirates beat Huntsville. It will also keep Prairie Grove among the […]

The outcome of Friday’s Prairie Grove-Farmington tilt will probably decide the 1-4A Conference champ. Expect more offense than last year’s 7-6 slugfest won by Farmington

Prairie Grove needed only defense and special teams to blank West Fork 37-0 last week. Expect all three phases to be clicking against winless Lincoln. I’m predicting 300 rushing yards from Prairie Grove’s Wing T offense, with halfback Seth West going over 100 and speedy Anthony Sharp breaking a long touchdown run.

The Lincoln Wolves have yet to score this season in consecutive losses to Westville, Okla., and Greenland.
The Wolves will look to hatch that goose egg this Friday against Prairie Grove, which shut out West Fork, 37-0, last Friday.
Prairie Grove certainly won’t make it easy for the Wolves.
Lincoln may have to wait until Week 4 at […]
