Since falling 52-20 to Gravette in Week 4, Tracy Sutton’s Greenland Pirates have been on a scoring spree. Greenland has won three games in a row, outscoring their opponents, 150-45.
The points may not come as easy in the Pirates’ game with Prairie Grove a 7 tonight. Danny Abshier’s Tigers are only allowing 11 points a […]

Prairie Grove can improve to 3-1 in the 1-4A conference with a win at Berryville (3-3, 1-2). The victory will give Prairie Grove a share of second place with the loser of the Gravette-Farmington game, a battle for first place, and Greenland if the Pirates beat Huntsville. It will also keep Prairie Grove among the […]

Jeremy Mahoney is Farmington’s new secret weapon. The sophomore placekicker has been responsible for providing scoring opportunities for his team that normally wouldn’t be there and giving opponents bad field position. The Cardinals play Gravette tonight and Mahoney may play a pivotal role.

The Greenland Pirates are 3-1-1 on the season and 1-1 in 1-4A play.Head coach Tracy Sutton would like for that record to be better, but his Pirates are still charting a course for the playoffs. A home date with Gentry Friday night and then a trip to Huntsville awaits.
If the Pirates can win both, […]

It’s a beautiful day in the Ozarks and it should be a grand evening for prep football. Here’s tonight’s forecast.

Greenland had to replace nine of 11 starters from last year’s defense, but the Pirates are holding their own with 2-0-1 record entering 1-4A play this week at Gravette (1-2).
The Pirates are allowing just 11.6 points per game and an 252 yards of offense.
A key to that has been the play of rover Ben Lilly, […]

Prairie Grove needed only defense and special teams to blank West Fork 37-0 last week. Expect all three phases to be clicking against winless Lincoln. I’m predicting 300 rushing yards from Prairie Grove’s Wing T offense, with halfback Seth West going over 100 and speedy Anthony Sharp breaking a long touchdown run.
