Elkins Antonio Valdez is on schedule for another huge year. He’s on pace to rush for more than 1,200 yards and score 20 touchdowns after finding paydirt 20 times last year. I wish he was my fantasy football running back. He’d be good for at least 25 points every week.

It’s a beautiful day in the Ozarks and it’s going to be a fabulous night for football.
According to weather.com, it should be partly cloudy and a comfortable 70 degrees at kickoff tonight. Temperatures could dip down to 62 for the drive home around 10 p.m.

Drew Clark will be the starter for Elkins at quarterback when the Elks travel to Huntsville Friday night. Regular starter Jordan Auslam had an appendectomy on Monday and will miss the next two to four weeks of practice and games. Clark is not the runner that Auslam is but he is a more proficient passer.
