McDonald bounces back
Blake McDonald felt no ill effects from the injured foot that forced him off the field for Fayetteville’s second series. McDonald engineered a 10-play, 81-yard scoring drive to increase the Bulldog lead to 14-0 with 6:02 left in the second quarter. A 16-yard touchdown pass on a fade route to Michael Bowman capped the drive.
Fayetteville used a power formation most of the drive, which was fueled by a 39-yard Cody Hammer run.
