SILOAM SPRINGS — Siloam Springs High School graduate Ethan Robinson was in Washington, D. C., Wednesday to celebrate the opening of a congressional art exhibit.

Robinson is the winner of the Third District Artistic Discovery High School art contest.

He won with his pen and ink / mixed media drawing titled “ Mug Shot. ” It will hang in the corridor of the U. S. Capitol.

AT & T Arkansas and Southwest Airlines are sponsors of the contest and provided spending money and round-trip airfare for Robinson and his family to attend the opening of the exhibit.

Robinson joined winners from across the nation in special ceremonies celebrating his achievement.

U. S. Rep. John Boozman, R-Ark., welcomed Robinson to the Capitol and congratulated him on his great accomplishment.

“ I’m very proud of him and all the artists in the Third District. This drawing is a symbol of Ethan’s hard work and creativity, as well as the great art work that’s found throughout northwest Arkansas, ” Boozman said.
