ROGERS — Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas has announced the latest contribution in response to the final phase of its capital campaign. Mercy received personal computers from Dell valued at more than $ 75, 000 to support its “ One Patient, One Record ” information system.
Dell’s donation was a key component of Mercy’s overall effort to implement an electronic medical record in the new hospital Mercy Medical Center and all the clinic locations in Northwest Arkansas, a Mercy news release said.
“ Dell believes technology can make a tremendous impact on the quality and efficiency of health care by making patient information easily accessible and allowing caregivers to focus their energy on what they do best — taking care of patients, ” said James Coffin, Dell vice president and general manager of Dell’s Health Care and Life Sciences business.
“ The implementation of our ‘ One Patient, One Record ’ information system truly puts Mercy on the forefront of healthcare institutions adopting electronic medical records, ” said Clark Ellison, Chief Development Officer for the Mercy Health Foundation of Northwest Arkansas.
