Kyle named to District 9 board
Richard S. Kyle, MD, of Bentonville recently was reappointed as one of Arkansas Medical Society District Nine Trustees, representing physicians in northwest Arkansas. He will serve two-year terms through April 2010.
Dr. Kyle, a neurosurgeon, has been a member of the society since 1994. As a member of the board, he will work with other physicians across the state for the betterment of health care in Arkansas. May 31 last day to assess
The last day Benton County residents can assess personal property without a penalty is May 31.
Assessments can be done in person in five locations: 215 E. Central Ave. or 2308 S. E. 28 th St. in Bentonville; 108 Main St. in Gravette; 707 S. Lincoln, Suite B, in Siloam Springs; or 300 W. Poplar St. in Rogers.

After May 31, there will be a 10 percent late-fee penalty. Habitat for Humanity sets golf event
Habitat for Humanity of Benton County Inc. will hold its fourth annual Hammer and Nail Golf Classic at Lost Springs Golf Course in Rogers on May 16.
This is a four-person, bestball scramble with other events, such as longest drive for men and women, closest to the pin, longest putt, a putting contest and a hole-in-one prize hole. Mulligans will also be sold. Shotgun starts will be at 8 a. m. and 1 p. m., with lunch from 11: 30 a. m. to 1: 30 p. m. Individuals, teams and sponsors are welcome.

The club’s monthly meeting and brunch will be Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive in Bella Vista.
The theme will be “ Cooking With Class, ” with Jeanna Hamilton, “ Your Personal Chef, ” followed by guest speaker Kathy Coleman, who will talk on “ Flying High and Nowhere to Go. ”
