Gamma Beta Phi convention starts today

Northwest Arkansas Community College will host the 2007 Gamma Beta Phi Arkansas State Convention today and Saturday at the NWACC Student Center in Bentonville.

Three chapters, in addition to NWACC will arrive this evening: Arkansas State University at Heber Springs, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Arkansas Northeastern College at Blytheville.

About 40 members from Gamma Beta Phi are expected.

Registration will be from 5 p. m. to 6 p. m. today. Live music and karaoke will be from 6 p. m. to 9 p. m.

A continental breakfast will be served Saturday beginning at 8: 30 a. m.

A business session will begin at 10 a. m., and lunch will be served at 11: 30 a. m. Awards and State Council elections will be after lunch, ending at 1: 30 p. m.

The council elections, door prizes and scrapbook-competition awards will be presented in Room 336 of the Student Center.
