BENTONVILLE — Generic forms of Prozac, Motrin and Zestril are among more than 300 prescription drugs available for $ 4 in all Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores in Arkansas, Wal-Mart President and CEO Lee Scott announced Thursday.

“ Since we began the program in September, it has made a real difference in the health of our customers and our communities, so we’re very pleased to bring it to Arkansas, ” Scott said in a news release issued Thursday morning.

The program is now available in the 93 Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club pharmacies throughout the state, in addition to stores in 13 other states. The program was launched Oct. 6 in 235 pharmacies.

The program is offered to all customers, regardless of the customer’s status as a health-insurance carrier.

The list of available prescriptions is viewable online at the company Web site, www. walmart. com. Prescriptions are not available by mail order and are available online or by phone for refills only for in-person pickup.
