Time to vote 'em out

Now that the Senate and the House of Representatives have passed the bailout bill, we know for sure that Congress does not listen to the majority of us. Time will tell how we, the taxpayers, will benefit. In the meantime, I will not vote for any of our politicians who signed the bill. I say, vote those people out - they are not working for us.

Listen to your forefathers

Election Day 2008 finally comes into view. With all that is being voiced about current affairs, perhaps rereading the Declaration of Independence and the U. S. Constitution would be useful.

Our country was built not on shifting sands, but on the bedrock of eternal truth.

Of late we hear of a living Constitution, somewhat like constantly moving the goal posts during the game to gain advantage. Look back to the men who pledged "our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor"to secure liberty under law for the citizens of the country: then, now and for the future. So let us vote, understanding and accepting the privilege and the responsibility to carry forth our U. S. Constitution for those who follow after us.
