WEDDINGS : ALLISON ELIZABETH COX ALAN WALKER COLE

FAYETTEVILLE — Allison Elizabeth Cox and Alan Walker Cole were united in marriage at 5 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 23, at Central United Methodist Church. The Revs. Steve Pulliam of Central United Methodist and Leslie Belden of United Campus Ministry officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Rebecca J. and Ronald C. Cox of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Ernestine and the late Floyd Fulbright and Roy and the late Emma Lou Cox, all of Little Rock.

The bridegroom is the son of Karen and John W. Cole of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Shirley and Richard C. Johanson and Dixie Cole, all also of Fayetteville, and the late John C. Cole of Russellville.

Nuptial music was provided by organist Jonathan Story.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line gown in champagne with a Chantilly beaded lace overlay featuring hand-embroidered crystals. The gown had a luxe satin Empire waist and fell into a chapel-length train. She wore an elbowlength champagne Chantilly lace veil and carried a bouquet of white hydrangea.

Mary Belden of Little Rock was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Gillespie, Leann Backus, Laura Dodson, Catherine Lewis, Lori Mars and Libby Chase, all of Fayetteville.

They wore floor-length silk charmeuse gowns in fig with gathered bodices and bows in back. They carried bouquets of light purple tulips and light green hydrangea.

Flower girl was Kristina Keenan and ring bearers were Patrick Keenan and Mitchell Keenan, all of Fayetteville.

Richard Cole and Thomas Cole, both of Fayetteville, were their brother’s best men. Groomsmen were Taylor Brown of Chicago and Darrick Bradley, John Mullins, Denny Mullens and Drew Gibson, all also of Fayetteville.

Helping to seat the guests were David Erstine and Chad Bramlett, both of Fayetteville; Brett Carwell of Jonesboro; and Brandon Rinnert of Chicago.

A reception followed at the UARK Ballroom. Tables were covered with light blue cloths and held candles and arrangements of blue and white hydrangea. White paper lanterns lined the ceiling.

Reception music was by the Full House Band. Connie and John Williams assisted.

The bride has an associate degree in early childhood education from Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville and is a hairstylist at Studio 8 salon in Fayetteville.

The bridegroom has a bachelor’s degree in finance / marketing and investments from the University of Arkansas and is a real estate broker with Colliers International.

After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Fayetteville.
