CLASS 6A : El Dorado beats Marion decisively

TEXARKANA — El Dorado has advanced to the second round in the Class 6 A state tournament for the first time.
The Wildcats cruised to an 11-0 run-rule victory over Marion Friday at Joe Blagg Field at Ed Worrell Park.
The Wildcats wasted no time scoring runs in their rout of Marion. Leadoff batter Reece Moore knocked the game’s fourth pitch over the left-field fence.
El Dorado added another run in the first when courtesy runner Stormy Primm slid safely under Marion catcher Taylor Moore’s tag. Brennan Pitard drove in Primm with a double.
The Wildcats took control in the fourth, scoring seven unearned runs. Hunter Sexton reached base on an infield error, and two outs later El Dorado scored seven runs on three singles, four walks and an error.

The Panthers won despite only getting two hits.
Benton scored two of its run in the first. Justin Mills walked and scored on an infield error. Jacksonville scored three runs in the fifth to complete the comeback victory.
Michael Harmon drove in two runs with a two-out double to right that brought in Cameron Hood and Patrick Castleberry to tie the game at 3-3.
