Lawmakers report on election funds

U. S. Sen. Mark Pryor, who has instructed his fundraisers to no longer solicit funds for his reelection this year, raised $ 150, 873 in the three-month period that ended Sept. 30, according to his latest Federal Election Commission report.

That increased the Little Rock Democrat’s total contributions to $ 5. 55 million.

Pryor faces no Republican opposition in his bid for a second six-year term this year. A report for Green Party candidate Rebekah Kennedy of Greenbrier wasn’t available Wednesday.

For the quarter, Pryor listed expenses at $ 650, 226, raising his total expenses to $ 2. 58 million, leaving him with $ 2. 65 million on Sept. 30.

In 2002 he raised $ 4. 4 million in unseating Tim Hutchinson, who raised $ 5. 1 million. The one candidate record in Arkansas is Gov. Mike Beebe’s $ 6. 5 million in 2006.

U. S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln, a Democrat from Little Rock who is up for re-election in 2010, reported raising $ 239, 776 for the quarter and $ 1. 28 million overall. She reported expenses of $ 73, 498 in the quarter, raising her total expenses to $ 828, 063. She reported $ 683, 822 in the bank Sept. 30.

Arkansas’ four U. S. House members also have no majorparty opposition this year.

U. S. Rep. Marion Berry, a Democrat from Gillett, reported raising $ 97, 775 for the quarter and $ 1. 09 million overall. He reported expenses of $ 77, 058 for the quarter and $ 587, 451 overall. He had $ 494, 836 in the bank Sept. 30.

U. S. Rep. John Boozman, a Republican from Rogers, reported contributions of $ 62, 109 for the quarter and $ 309, 198 overall. His expenses were $ 43, 833 for the quarter and $ 284, 614 overall, leaving him with $ 192, 184 on Sept. 30.

U. S. Rep. Mike Ross, a Democrat from Prescott, reported contributions of $ 211, 958 for the quarter and $ 1. 48 million overall. He reported expenses of $ 139, 673 for the quarter and $ 748, 010 overall, leaving him with cash on hand of $ 1. 05 million.

U. S. Rep. Vic Snyder, a Democrat from Little Rock, reported contributions of $ 85, 830 for the quarter and $ 226, 778 overall. He reported expenses of $ 26, 063 for the quarter and $ 166, 889 overall, leaving him with $ 28, 613 in the bank on Sept. 30.
